E.F. “Chip” Johnson, PE, Joins EnBiorganic Team

Innovator and provider of turn-key autonomous systems for the natural, biological treatment of wastewater welcomes long-time wastewater and trenchless technology industry expert to its business development, industry education and market outreach team

Las Vegas, NV July 2022Chip Johnson PE has been involved in the environmental civil engineering field since his graduation from Auburn University in 1979. His career has taken him from a sales engineer role to head of technical services and business development for consulting engineering firms, trenchless technology contractors and manufacturers. His CV includes time spent with well-known firms such as American Cast Iron Pipe, Brown and Caldwell, Metcalf & Eddy, CH2MHill, Insituform and most recently Sprayroq, where he continues in a consultative contract role.

Johnson’s experience at Insituform was during the infancy of utilizing CIPP as a solution for restoring the integrity of buried pipelines. It was then he found his calling to be an educator for the market about new technologies that could revolutionize the way underground assets were maintained. “It was an exciting time and wonderful journey to bring new technology to market, educate the industry and gain acceptance for what is today an industry standard for pipeline rehabilitation using trenchless methods,” shares Johnson. “This is why I’m so excited to be part of the EnBiorganic journey, not since those early days with Insituform, have I been so excited about a new technology for the wastewater industry and creating market awareness and acceptance. Just like CIPP, I’m confident once people understand how and why this technology is so effective, affordable, and sustainable, it is going to alter the way wastewater treatment plants are designed and capacity issues or upgrades are approached.”

Chip’s role with EnBiorganic will be to work with the company’s network of licensees in business development, market education and opportunity generation to increase installations of its technology across North America.
